I shot a few shots of 3-d movie today with a DIY rig, a do-it-yourself 3-d movie rig.
It was a special TV program from Cable TV Hong Kong on DIY projects.
Barbara Wong is a Guest Host for the show and invited me in this episode.
I built the rig with a few pieces of persplex/acrylics, two mirrors and a few screws.
I put a normal DV camera on the persplex aiming at the junction of the
mirrors, just to prove the concept that anyone can shoot a three
dimensional movie even with limited resource.
Then I downloaded the footage with Final Cut Pro and I cut and crop the footage into left and right sequences.
Later I transfer the footage into After Effects and composed into an Anaglyph Blue and Red 3-d movie.
The special programme will go on air on November 27, 2006 on Cable.
